Research Interests
Dr. Park’s primary research interests are in immune and inflammatory responses, especially pathological inflammatory responses and sterile inflammation. Her current research activities are mainly focused on the understanding of how inflammatory responses is set in motion and controlled, how we control the abnormal inflammation associated with diseases including cancer. Some latest research topics are tumor immunomicroenvironment and immunotherapy, TLRs in brain inflammation, oxidative stress and HIFs, and damage-associated endogenous molecules. She is now putting great emphasis on the crosstalk between cancer and immune cells and the interdependence of hypoxic stress and immune responses
