Dr. Ohis interested in the field of program evaluation of primary cancer prevention. She has research experience on identifying risk factors of cancer and development of intervention program for cancer prevention at the national and community level. She had conducted epidemiological studies on vaccine-preventable diseases and infectious agents of cancer, and economic evaluation of vaccination programs. She has involved in a community-based prospective cohort study for more than 10 years. She also involved in an active national cancer prevention program called the Quit Line which a helpline for people who want to quit smokingongoing program. She had conducted the economic evaluation of programs such as smoking cessation clinic in public health centers. Based on the research scope and experiences mentioned above, she has contributed to develop the ‘Cancer Prevention Program’ and its’ implementation such as setting up the evidence based national guidelines, developing the framework and programs for dissemination, increasing public awareness, implementing field education and training, evaluation of program effects, and so on.
