- Research Interests

Based on evolutionary and ecological perspectives of cancer development, we investigate the molecular trajectories that precede lung cancer using prediagnostic blood samples from population-based cohort studies. Through this work, we aim to develop an early prediction model, referred to as an “epigenetic lung cancer clock.” In parallel, we are establishing a prospective smoking cessation cohort with repeated biospecimen collection as a longitudinal platform for investigating the biological trajectories of lung carcinogenesis and enabling future multi-omics studies.
